yummmmmmy paris!!

I guess at times I can be a little fickle about my favourite foods on any given day, but I am sure these delights will stay on my top 10 (maybe 20) list of favourites for a long while to come.

La Bague de Kenza is a candy store for kids and adults alike. Their amazing display of bright, shiny and colourful sweets would make any head turn and gush in delight.  While I never quite knew what I was ordering in this place you could always guarantee it would taste fantastic. I loved coming here after a few drinks or dinner and getting a few little deserts for the walk home.

As to the names of my second favourite, I am pretty sure it is called an Abraj (although every time I go into the Tunisian bakery to ask for one I still have to point and explain). The Abraj is a sweet little sandwich like square of goodness. From what I understand, it is baked semolina with a sticky mashed date filling.

I love to take my warmed up Abraj to Aux Follies and order a big cafe crème. This relaxed and cheap cafe on le Rue de Belleville is a great place for people watching and afternoon daydreaming.
